Hello Colleagues,

Last week was a busy week. On Wednesday, March 21st our consultant, Eva Conrad, was here to facilitate a Strategic Planning workshop. At this workshop, attendees looked at our five Institutional Goals and brainstormed Institutional Objectives and possible Action Steps for the objectives that would become the basis for our 2012-2014 Strategic Plan. The following day, members of the Accreditation Steering Committee and Eva spent the entire day working at refining all the ideas from the Strategic Planning workshop into measurable objectives that are connected to our Institutional Goals. These objectives will establish the priorities for the district over the next two years. Attached is the first draft of the Institutional Objectives for the new 2012-2014 Strategic Plan. Individuals are still working on the Action Steps that will go with each of the objectives. The Actions Steps need to be specific, timely, realistic and connect to the objective. We hope to have the Action Steps more solidified in the next couple weeks and will send those out to everyone once they are developed.

The Accreditation Steering Committee also continues to work on refining our Integrated Planning Manual. The District's processes are being clarified and timelines are being developed for implementation of integrated planning. For your interest, the current draft of the Integrated Planning Manual is attached. This manual is still working its way through various committees and further modifications may be made based on feedback from the Academic Senate Council, Planning & Budget Committee, and College Council.

Wednesday, March 28, members of the Accreditation Steering Committee will be meeting with Mike Hill, a Brain Trust consultant, to review and discuss the Fiscal Plan and Recommendation 7.

If you have any question feel free to ask, or visit one of the Accreditation Steering Committee meetings (Mondays from 2:00-4:00 in the PDC), or visit the Accreditation web site for more information.

Sincerely,

Deb and Kevin
