Dear Colleagues,

Although it has been a couple of weeks since our last update, we wanted to let you know that work is continuing to move forward to help us meet our accreditation goals. We still have a lot of work to accomplish, but it is starting to feel like things are beginning to coalesce. However, given that there are only 4 1/2 weeks left of the semester, panic does strike frequently.

Here is where we are today:

  • The 2011-2012 SLOCCCD Facilities Plan has made it through the committee rounds and will be presented to the Board of Trustees Wednesday night for their approval.

  • The SLOCCCD Fiscal Plan is in the process of review and feedback through the different committees. Both consultants, Mike Hill and Eva Conrad have reviewed the plan and are very supportive of the document.
  • The EMP Addendum, Integrated Planning Manual, and Fiscal Plan are scheduled to go to the Academic Senate on April 27th for approval.

  • Eva Conrad will be on campus April 20th to help us complete the action steps for our Institutional Objectives in the SLOCCCD 2012-2014 Strategic Plan. She will be meeting with several committees, individuals, and groups to help identify the action steps, responsible parties, and timelines for completion of each action step. We hope to have the second phase of the 2012-2014 Strategic Plan move through the appropriate committees starting next week.

  • The 2010-2013 Strategic Plan Progress Report is close to being completed and will begin to move through the committees starting next week.

  • The Technology Committee is working on a progress report of the Technology Plan and is also updating the Technology Plan to integrate with our other newly developed planning documents.

  • A task group from the Enrollment Management Committee is updating the Enrollment Management Plan and is also writing a progress report for the academic year.
  • The Accreditation Steering committee unanimously endorsed both the EMP Addendum and the Integrated Planning Manual. This committee also reviewed Recommendation 6 at last Monday's meeting and is gathering evidence to support meeting this recommendation.
All the documents listed are available on the Accreditation website. Lastly, we again want to thank everyone for all your work and assistance. These are difficult times for any institution and we appreciate your time and energy.
Respectfully,
Kevin & Deb
