Dear Colleagues,

Well, it is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the semester. We officially have 17 days before graduation. These past twelve weeks have been a very busy time for the Accreditation Steering Committee, Planning and Budget Committee, College Council, the Academic Senate Council, and many others who have worked on different aspects of accreditation. In this short time, the College has completed the following:

      • An Integrated Planning Manual

      • An Educational Master Plan Workshop to develop Institutional Goals

      • The Educational Master Plan Addendum

      • Two Strategic Planning Workshops

      • The 2012-2014 Strategic Plan

      • A Progress Report for the 2010-2013 Strategic Plan

      • The Long-Term Fiscal Plan

      • The Facilities Master Plan

      • Updated the Technology Plan

      • Updated the Enrollment Management Plan

      • A Resource Development Plan

      • The EEO Plan

      • An in-depth 5 year calendar

      • An updated Accreditation website

      • Standards that reflect committees' descriptions

In addition to all of the above work, faculty have intensely worked on curriculum clean up, and student learning outcomes and assessments. A task force is also in the process of developing a decision making and governance handbook, as well as Planning and Budget, which is working on an operational handbook for that committee.During the summer we will be working on the follow-up report, the closure report, a committee training workshop that will be conducted Thursday, August 16 from 9-12 and a presentation/training for Opening Day. We will also try to keep you informed of progress over the summer with updates.

Many individuals, committee members, and groups have dedicated time and effort to achieve a tremendous amount of work in a very short time. We are thankful for your passion and energy to this cause.
