Dear Colleagues,

We hope you are having a relaxing and rejuvenating summer. To keep you informed, we wanted to alert you of a few things we have been working on.

  1. Posted on the Accreditation web site is a fall timeline for the college governance process for review and approval of the 2012 Follow-Up and Closure reports. Fall timeline
  2. Also on the Accreditation web site is the draft scorecard for each Recommendation (2, 6, & 7) and Eligibility Requirement 19. The recommendation scorecards include an at-a-glance chart of the accomplishments and progress made by the college in 2009, 2010, 2011 and currently (2012). This information will be used in writing the Follow-Up report. Please note, this scorecard is a work in progress. We will keep it updated throughout the summer as we gather more information.
  3. Planning for the Committees, Governance, and Integrated Planning Workshop on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. in room 5401 are underway. We hope you can attend this workshop, especially if you will be serving on or co-chairing a college governance committee (i.e. College Council, Planning & Budget, Enrollment Management, Accreditation Steering Committee, Institutional Effectiveness Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Academic Senate Council, etc.). This workshop will cover the college governance structure, committee responsibilities, reporting lines of authority and how the work of committees interacts with the district's new integrated planning processes.
  4. We are also planning to do some activities on Opening Day, Friday, August 17, 2012 about accreditation and integrated planning. We hope to add some humor and fun activities so you do not want to miss this event.
