Dear Colleagues,

As we approach the finish line in terms of completing our Show Cause Report, Closure Report, and the College Status Report on SLO Implementation we'd like to start educating everyone on the highlights and key elements we have developed, implemented, and written about in our reports. That way we will all be well informed when the five member visiting team comes to campus for two days in late October.

We encourage (and expect) everyone to read the Show Cause Report, we understand it is very long and some of the information is hard to retain.  Therefore, our goal is to extract the key points from our reports and documents and make them more readily available and digestible.  We believe, this will help ensure that we are all informed, on the same page, and speaking the same language when the visiting team is on campus.

Attached is the first of one of these shorter informative documents on our integrated planning model and processes. (Integrated Planning Quick Version PDF) The information on this document was extracted from our Integrated Planning Manual and succinctly shows and explains the model and our integrated planning process.  For more details you can find the entire Integrated Planning Manual on the Accreditation website.

As an FYI, we have been unofficially informed that the five member visiting team will be on campus October 29-30th. When we receive official confirmation of the visiting team members we will send that out to everyone including their names and background information.

Lastly, we hope to try and have some fun by offering short quizzes with prizes during the month of October. So yes, this information will be on the test :-).

Thanks again to everyone for all your hard work. Kevin and I are, as should you be, grateful and proud of all the work we as an institution have accomplished.

Happy reading,

Deb and Kevin
