Cuesta College is gearing up to host two Student Success Festivals in order to help students get through college successfully. The festivals will be held on both the San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles campuses with the intent of providing students with a one-stop-shop of the many free college services and resources available, along with showcasing various campus clubs.

San Luis Obispo Campus Student Success Festival

Cuesta first held a Student Success Festival in March 2014. The event was attended by more than 600 students.

“Last spring we had students tell us over and over again how helpful the event was with connecting them to clubs and services that they didn’t even know existed at Cuesta,” said Cuesta College Counselor and event coordinator Teri Sherman. “We want students to feel connected to the college and to have a casual and fun environment in which to meet other students, faculty and staff.”

On-hand will be faculty and staff with information on counseling, tutoring, financial aid, Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS), campus clubs, Career Connections and services that support veterans, mental health, re-entry students and more. The events are being hosted by the Cuesta College Counseling Department and the Associated Students of Cuesta College. Both festivals are free to attend and will include games, prizes, giveaways, food and drinks. For more information, contact the Counseling Department at (805) 546-3147.
