Cuesta College Performing Arts Department is presenting a variety of concerts in December.

On Sunday Dec. 2, the North County Chorus, directed by Cassandra Tarantino, will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Magnificat” at Santa Margarita Ranch, 9000 Yerba Buena Ave., Santa Margarita. The concert begins at 2 p.m.

Bach composed the piece in 1723 for Christmas Vespers. “Magnificat” is also known as the Song of Mary, the text coming from the Gospel of Luke.

Tickets are $10 for students and seniors, and $15 general admission.
