The third and final “Founding Faculty” fine art exhibit opens Wednesday, Oct. 16th with an opening reception on Friday, Oct. 18th. The exhibit will feature the works of Bob Pelfrey. Since the beginning of the fall 2013 semester, the fine arts department has put on a series of exhibits in honor of Cuesta College’s 50th anniversary.

Pelfrey became a member of the Cuesta College fine arts faculty in 1972 and served as division chair as well as faculty senate president. After 31 years of service to Cuesta, he retired in 2003. The exhibit will be displayed in the Cuesta College Art Gallery on the San Luis Obispo campus and will be open Mondays-Fridays from noon to 4 p.m. The opening reception will take place from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. during which an artist talk will take place at 5:30 p.m. Free parking for the reception will be available in Parking Lot 2.

The first two exhibits featured the works of founding fine art faculty members Chet Amyx and Barry Frantz.
