Internationally acclaimed artist Tom Wudl will display his artwork at the Cuesta College Art Gallery on the SLO Campus from November 15 through December 13 with a reception scheduled for Friday, November 15 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The exhibition is a small retrospective of his work and includes two large paintings and several recent paintings.   His newer work is created with acrylic, oil and gold paint, gouache, pencil and gold leaf, and inspired by the Avatamsaka Sutra (or Flower Ornament Sutra), the revered scripture of Huayan Buddhism. Wudl immigrated to the United States from Cochabamba, Bolivia in 1958. He attended Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and has exhibited his work in museums and galleries throughout the United States and abroad, including Tokyo, New York and San Francisco.

An artist talk will take place at 5:30 p.m. during the exhibit reception. The gallery is open Monday-Fridays from noon to 4 p.m.
