The Associated Students of Cuesta College (ASCC) is celebrating Constitution Day over a two-day period on both its San Luis Obispo and North County campuses. Constitution Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is observed on September 17th, the day the Constitution was signed in 1787.

The annual celebration on the SLO Campus will take place on Tuesday, September 17th, from 11 a.m. – noon in the Student Center Courtyard, located in front of the bookstore. Multiple guests and speakers will attend, including SLO City Mayor Jan Marx, SLO City Police Chief Steve Gesell and Cuesta College Superintendant/President Gil Stork.

On Wednesday, September 18th, the celebration will continue on the North County Campus, located at 2800 Buena Vista Drive in Paso Robles. From 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in front of the campus’ Learning Resource Center, Constitution Day table displays and trivia games will be held by business law students.

Both events will include food and give-aways, including pocket Constitutions and other promotional goods. The community, students, staff and faculty are all invited to join in the celebration.
