Those interested in becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) can attend an applicant information session on Cuesta College’s North County Campus on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in room 2407 (Fox Building, N2400). Participants will get information on Cuesta College’s LVN Program application requirements and timelines. Applications for the one-year fast-tracked program will be accepted beginning Jan. 1, 2014, with classes starting August 2014.

According to Marcia Scott, the college’s director of nursing & allied health, Cuesta’s LVN students boast an impressive first-time testing pass-rate of 92% on the LVN National Licensing Examination. Additionally, the majority of the program’s graduates are hired by local healthcare agencies or go on to achieve higher nursing degrees.
