Students who are thinking about enrolling in college or transferring to a four-year school can check out two events being held on Cuesta College’s San Luis Obispo Campus on Nov. 4 - Transfer Day and College Night.

It all begins with Transfer Day, an annual one-stop-shop for Cuesta students looking to transfer. “This is the one opportunity that Cuesta students have to talk with approximately 40 transfer and admission representatives from various universities,” said Cuesta College counseling faculty member Blake Reed. The event is set to take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Associated Students Auditorium’s Student Center (Bldg. 5400, Room 5401). Music and lunch will be provided to participating students.

Later in the day, local high school students and their parents are invited to attend College Night and meet with representatives of nearly 70 colleges and universities from across the nation. Cuesta College staff will also be on hand to discuss and answer questions about the Cuesta Promise, the recently unveiled new scholarship program that offers all new SLO County high school graduates a fee-free fall 2014 semester. The event, hosted at the college by the Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County, will take place from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on the SLO Campus in the Student Center (Bldg. 5400). Parking will be free in lot 2.
