Forty Cuesta College art students have been chosen to take part in the college’s Annual Student Art Exhibition, running April 11th – May 14th in the Cuesta College Art Gallery.

On Thursday, April 3rd, Cal Poly professor of Fine Arts and recent Cuesta College Art Gallery exhibitionist Diane Puntar juried the 159 submissions of 88 students in eight different medias, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography, digital arts and mixed media. In the end, 51 works by 40 students were chosen to participate in the exhibit.

“As always, it is an eclectic mix of works that display many different emotions and perspectives,” said David Prochaska, Cuesta College fine arts instructor. “There is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy and ponder as we showcase some of the best artwork of our Cuesta College art students.”

An opening reception will take on Friday, April 11th from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the gallery.
