Job Fair coming in April 2011

Career Connections and the NACElink/Symplicity Online Career Services Website can help local community employers meet  employment needs through internships,  part-time and full-time positions or on a seasonal basis. If you have been previously registered with the Cuesta College e-recruiting system, your business should already be registered with our new system.  However, if you haven't responded to an email from the Symplicity system within the last two years,  you will need to call us for your user name and password.  Please contact us at 805-546-3204, if you need help logging onto the new system.

Career Connections online Job database is your opportunity to reach all Cuesta College students. We want to make this service work for you, so please feel free to send your comments to us by clicking on this link.

To register your business free of charge and post your Job Openings, please read the information below and then click on the NACElink/Symplicity Online Employer Registration  link either here or in the column on the left of this page. 

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU LINK ON THE REGISTRATION PAGE:
     Once you click on the link you will see the main Registration Page. 
 "Login" information will be on the left side of the page, HOWEVER, if you go to the right side of the page you will see three links with options available to Register your business. 

Register:
If you don't currently have a job to post, Register will be the link for you. Once you register, your business name will appear in our database. We will check your information for accuracy and approve your company the next business day. You will receive an email with your username and password which you will need to respond to.  This will verify your participation in our database and make your account accessible. If
you also want to post a a local job, internship or work study position, you will want to use the second link.

Register & Post a Local Job:

This will allow you to register your business and go right into posting a Job Description. If you use this link your Job Posting and Business Registration will be approved at the same time Like Registering, this approval process will be completed the next business dayYou will receive an email from the website to verify your participation in our database.  This email will contain your username and password information so you can check your registration and job posting information.  Once registered you can update Job Postings as you need to. 

Other Career Connections Services
The Career Connections Website is provided to you by Cuesta College and the NACElink system. It can be accessed by all Cuesta College students, faculty, staff and alumni.  By utilizing our website employers can register their business, post job openings, and do on campus recruitment by registering and participating in our annual Job Fairs on campus or in the local community. The next Job Fair will be held in April 2011 on the San Luis Obispo campus of Cuesta College.  Please contact Hunter at 546-3100 x2185 if you have any questions regarding participation in this Job Fair.

The Career Connections office also offers a full-time dedicated Job Developer to help students and employers connect to the world of opportunities available in our community and on campus. The Career Connections office is located on the San Luis Obispo campus in Room 5310 and on the North County Campus in Paso Robles Room 4021 of the Estrella One-Stop Business Center in Building 4000.

We offer employers the opportunity to utilize our facility to:

  • Speak with our Job Developer, Hunter Perry about placing students in their businesses through the Work -Study Programs offered at Cuesta College.
  • Speak with our Cooperative Work Experience Coordinator, Kimberley Blackie about placing students in credit applicable positions within their business for either General or Occupational Work Experience.  These positions can be paid or unpaid, and can be funded with either employer or work study dollars.
  • Post all type of employment opportunities on our Career Services Website and Job Openings bulletin board; including volunteer placements, paid or unpaid internships, work study positions or part-time/full-time paid employment .
  • Schedule space to interview students on either Cuesta College Campus
  • Set up displays of employer information.
  • Participate in our two annual Job Fairs in the Spring on the Cuesta College campus and in the fall in the City of Paso Robles.

All our services are free of charge!

We would like to work with you to meet your employment needs.  Once you register with the NACElink/Symplicity Career Services Website and post your Job Opening, your job requests will become available on our website within 24 hours. Students, faculty and staff can access the website online or in our offices which are located in the Student Center, Room 5310, Cuesta College San Luis Obispo campus or Room 4021 on the North County Cuesta College campus in Paso Robles.

We encourage you to take advantage of the online system as it offers a variety of services for employers that can only be accessed if you register your business and post your own Job Opening  online.  However, you may also fax employer information and a job description to us at (805) 546-3998, or mail it to us at Career Connections, Student Center Room 5310, Cuesta College, P.O. Box 8106, San Luis Obispo, CA 93403-8106.

You can view a complete list of programs and majors offered at Cuesta College on the main web site. As you review the list, you will see that many of the vocational and technical programs are specifically designed to train students to enter the labor market directly.
