workplace.

and 4pm

Faculty/Staff through Career Connections.
Could your department use help, but
can't afford an hourly worker?
Federal Work Study is a Federally "subsidized" job placement that is
paid for by a student's financial aide grant. If you have hourly work that you
could employ a student to do, please
click on the
Employer Registration & Job
Listing link to register as an employer and post
the approved student Job Description from Human Resources* as your job listing.
Each Job posting format gives the employer the choice to choose what type of job
the posting represents, i.e. part-time, internship, full-time or Federal Work
Study. Please make sure you choose the Federal Work Study check box so
that we can sort these jobs for further identification and auditing purposes. Job experience is an excellent way to prepare students
for the workplace, and work study students are an excellent way to get the help
our departments need without the cost of an hourly worker.
After posting your Federal Work Study job listing on the
NACElink/Symplicity
system
please send
Hunter Perry an email to Career Connections so that we know you have
posted a Work Study position. You will be sent an email within 2 hours
from the NACElink system verifying your registration and job posting.
Please respond to the email to verify your username and password.
The Job Posting and Employer Registration will be approved within 24 hours
and available for you to look at online. You can get to the main
NACElink/Symplicity Login page from the Career Connections main webpage
(in the left hand column). Please
check your posting to make sure your contact information and Job
Description posted accurately.
Please keep the approved student Job Description original from Human
Resources to attach to the
Federal Work Study Personnel Authorization Request Form To Hire Temporary
Employee FY 2010-2011 Form
that the
student will present to you to complete for Federal Work Study. In addition to the posting online,
we will provide a special binder to students coming into the department
looking for work. All of our online job postings will be immediately
available to students.
