Career Connections would
like to partner with you in preparing students to successfully enter the
workplace. Below are the services available to you through Career Connections.
Internships
We can assist you in publicizing student internship or practicum
opportunities through flyers and mass emails. "Course-related"
job experience is an excellent way to prepare students for the workplace.
Departmental Jobs/Federal Work Study
Need help in your department? Post your on-campus job opportunity with
Career Connections, your resource to reach all Cuesta College students. To
post a job, please complete the
Job Listing Form. Your information
will be submitted immediately.
For Federal Work Study (FWS) jobs, please complete the
FWS Form. We will make your
openings immediately available to students.
If this is your first time hiring a Federal Work Study student, please
review the following guidelines on the process

Interview interested student

Discuss position requirements and
qualifications with student

If
you decide to hire the student:
a. complete the lower portion of the "Work Site Referral Sheet"
b. complete the "Request for Classified Substitute/Short-term Hourly and
Student Help" form.

Return forms to the Financial Aid Office.

Student goes to HR to obtain packet,
complete additional paperwork and obtain first timecard.

Time cards must be submitted to the
Financial Aid office by the last working day of the month.
Class Visits
We are available to visit your classroom to inform students of the
different services offered through Career Connections, or to provide a
mini-lecture on different job search topics (resume writing, interviewing
techniques, networking, etc.). Please contact us at
