Personal Counseling Services
Personal Counseling Services offered at the Student Health Center provide programs to support students in their academic success and personal development. Licensed counselors are available to provide up to six sessions of FREE, confidential personal counseling for students per semester.

Personal Counseling Services does not include:
- Psychodiagnostic testing (i.e., intelligence & personality tests)
- Alcohol and drug rehabilitation
- Medication prescription or evaluation
- Testing for mental or learning disorders (i.e. Attention Deficit Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder, Schizophrenia, or learning disabilities)
- Treating serious mental disorders that require either hospitalization and/or board and care treatment
- Students who are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs at the time of the session
- Students who are currently abusing alcohol or other drugs and are not willing to take definitive steps towards addressing their substance abuse issues
Students meet with an individual counselor to clarify and resolve important issues. When students need additional counseling, referrals to appropriate community resources will be given.
