- GYN exams and PAP smears
- STI testing for men and women
- HIV testing
- Pregnancy testing
- Emergency Contraception ("Morning After Pill")
- Testicular Cancer Screening
Primary Care Clinic
The San Luis Obispo Campus Student Health Center provides the Primary Care Clinic. Hours: Tuesday, 9:00am – 4:00 pm and Thursday, 9:00am – 4:00pm by appointment only. To make an appointment, call (805) 546-3171
Services To Be Provided:
Assessment, examination and simple treatment of short term acute illness and minor uncomplicated medical problems. Services are limited to basic care clinic visits (one problem per visit), reduced cost antibiotic prescriptions and home care instructions. If condition requires more than one evaluation and one follow-up visit, the patient will be referred to outside medical agencies.
Services NOT Provided (Requires Outside Referrals)
Routine well-physical examinations, dental care, optometry, allergy testing and allergy shots, diagnostic tests (lab or x-ray), filling of outside prescriptions or more complicated treatment such as sutures, casting, physical or respiratory therapy or ongoing care for chronic diseases.
Only the Nurse Practitioner can furnish prescription medications. Limited prescription medications are available at low cost. Students are responsible for paying for any medical costs and medications on outside referrals.
