To the participating Non-Profit Agencies of San Luis Obispo County:

As you know in October of 1998 PG& E awarded a grant to the Cuesta College Institute for Professional Development to determine the feasibility of a non-profit support center in our county. Dr. Jan Schmuckler of Schmuckler Consulting in Oakland was hired to work together with the Collaboration Forum Planning Committee to design and conduct the feasibility study survey.

I would like to thank all of the agencies that participated in the survey, board interviews and focus groups. I would also like to thank PG& E for making the survey possible, as well as Singleton, Tacket and Associates, the Collaboration Forum Planning Committee, and the Cuesta College Institute for Professional Development in coordinating the project.

Attached is the Executive Summary of the survey. For viewing the entire study contact the Cuesta College web-site at http://www.cuesta.edu/campus/commty/ipd/index.htm. If you have any questions, please call Genene Boldt at Cuesta College Institute for Professional Development at (805) 541-0924.

Sincerely,

Grace N. Mitchell
President/Superintendent
