The Transitional Aged Youth – Financial Assistance Program (TAY-FAP)provides financial support to youth eligible for the Independent Living Program (ILP) in San Luis Obispo County for needs related to enrolling in or maintaining enrollment in a college, university or vocational program.

Philosophy: To empower transitional aged youth to enhance their ability to achieve self-sufficiency and independence by furthering their education.

TAY-FAP is a collaborative effort between the Department of Social Services (DSS) and Family Care Network, Inc (FCNI). Since May 2010, 80 youth are furthering their education utilizing the support of the TAYFAP program. TAY-FAP was created in San Luis Obispo County, and has been receiving statewide attention.

•Mentoring
•Case Management Support
•Savings Incentive
