MISSION

The CSRC’s mission is to promote an understanding and appreciation for sustainability concepts and practices through a variety of educational resources, programs, activities, exhibits, and eventsOur Center currently serves the San Luis Obispo County community to ensure that social, economic and environmental systems survive and thrive both locally and globally.

K-12 PROGRAMS OUTREACH

  • Hands-on, project based classroom teaching (primarily supplemented via NEED Project kits)
  • Professional development workshops
  • Ongoing classroom support
  • Customize sustainability into lesson planning according to NGSS and Common Core standards
  • Help organize science & sustainability events, such as science fairs and family science nights
  • Links to Career Technical Pathways

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

  • Provide energy efficiency-related tools for check-out
  • Organize yearly energy awareness and education events
  • Facilitate the training of our local workforce in sustainability best practices
