Architectural Technology

The Architectural Technology program at Cuesta College offers both degree and certificate options for students entering architecture and design-related fields. Transfer credits can be earned to four- and five-year professional architecture degree programs. Those beginning to explore the world of architecture at Cuesta College will find a variety of offerings that will foster the two requisite sides of an architect: the artistic and the practical. Numerous course options are available, including an introduction to the curricula and programs designed to prepare students for careers in architecture. Other offerings include classes on architectural presentation drawing, graphic communications skills, as well as how to put together a unified portfolio for job procurement and transfer credit.

Electronic & Electrical Technology

The Electro Mechanical Technology program offers a hands-­on start into the high-tech world. Servo-­devices, robotic programming, programmable logic controllers, and integrated manufacturing workcells will become part of your new language and bright future in this exciting program.

High tech labs are filled with state-­of-­the-­art automation technology equipment. This program has been developed through partnerships with local industry in San Luis Obispo. Interest in this high-demand field is also being generated from companies statewide.

Facilities

Facilities Technology Management is a two-year program designed to build a solid foundation in electronics, construction, automotive, and metals technologies along with business, management and leadership skills. The goal of the degree is to provide cross discipline training preparing students to maintain all types of plant equipment from heavy to automation, as well as sustain the plant structures and manage operations.
