State & Federal Grant Writing Made Easy
State and Federal Grant Writing Made Easy is for volunteers, board members or staff wanting to learn the basics of preparing state or federal grant proposals for their non-profit organization. This course overviews key proposal components and how to generate them including: Reading the RFA; constructing a compliant document; how to draft a compelling need statement; demonstrating capacity to implement the proposed program or project; developing a realistic budget; plus what additional documents may be required or should be included with a grant submission. We will also look at several federal grant proposal examples.
NOTE: Participants are encouraged to bring an actual state or federal grant proposal that they want to work on to class.
