About the instructor:
Brian Schwartz is the founder of SelfPublish.org, a site dedicated to bridging the gap between self-publishers and traditional publishing.  He is the former president of the Colorado Independent Publishers Association and a popular speaker at writers’ conferences across the country. Since 2009, Brian has worked with more than 300 authors and launched more than 50 Amazon bestsellers.  He is a passionate speaker who enjoys sharing the proven strategies and techniques of successful indie authors.

Part 1: How to Self-Publish Your Book and eBook
Two Mondays: Feb 1 & 8 (6-8pm) Register Online - CANCELLED
In the first part, you will learn to properly format your manuscript to create either a Kindle version (sellable on Amazon) and/or a print-on-demand edition for reviewers.  Also known as a Bound Galley or Advance Reader Copy, you can create both an eBook and print edition for review and/or sale. We will also talk about cover design and book distribution options for indie authors.  How to get more exposure on Amazon and the secrets behind their ranking system and recommendation engine.

Part 2: Creating Killer Author Profile Pages and Getting Reviews
Two Mondays: Feb 22 & 29 (6-8pm) Register Online - CANCELLED
In part two, you'll learn how to create author profiles pages at Amazon, Goodreads, Facebook, and easy ways to create your own author website to promote your work.  How to establish a presence on social media and how to get links from high traffic sites like Wikipedia, Youtube, and Reddit.  You'll establish a system to track early reviewers, and how to keep the reviews coming in.

Part 3: Launching an Amazon Bestseller
Two Mondays: Mar 7 & 14 (6-8pm) Register Online - CANCELLED
In part three, you will leverage your earlier efforts to run a successful Amazon bestseller campaign using Amazon's KDP program. You will learn which sites provide the best exposure for your marketing dollar and how to write a compelling press release.  What to do during a campaign and how the effects of a successful campaign pay dividends long after the campaign is over.
