Q: In Excel, I’ll often enter a lot of text (like comments) that I wrap in the cell by selecting Format > Cell > Alignment tab > Wrap Text. But how do I force text to start a new line within that same cell? When I press [Enter], the next cell is selected!
A: Buried in the bowels of the Excel online help, we found the answer. Press [Alt]-[Enter] to create a forced line feed. Your cursor will move to the beginning of the next line but remain in the cell.
