Rules and Regulations
The Cuesta College Board of Trustees has adopted Rules and Regulations to control traffic, parking, and regulation of vehicles on the college campus, as prescribed under Section 21113 of the California Vehicle Code.
The Cuesta College Police Department also enforces all other California Vehicle and Penal Codes. Speeding, failure to stop at stop signs, and other vehicle code violations may result in a court traffic citation and/or a student misconduct report.
The program to establish fees for parking on campus is based on the concept that parking facilities should be paid for by the user. Money collected for parking permits reimburses the college for the cost of installing and operating parking facilities. Enforcement of the parking regulations is the responsibility of the Cuesta College Police Department.
In order to provide parking for faculty, staff, students, and visitors, please be aware of the following regulations:
Enforcement of parking in red zones, handicapped zones, loading zones, and 20 minutes zones is in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Enforcement of all other regulations with regards to parking permits begins after the third day of each semester.
You may appeal a citation at the Cuesta College Police Department within 30 days of the citation date.
