Welcome to Cuesta!

We are a full-service community college on the beautiful Central Coast where our faculty and staff pride ourselves on a willingness to go the extra mile to help you succeed. Cuesta's main campus is located between San Luis Obispo — the Happiest Town in the U.S.  — and Morro Bay, and a sister campus is in Paso Robles. You can also take classes at our South County Centers at Arroyo Grande and Nipomo high schools.

Getting around

The main campus sits on 160 acres, which also means it can be a challenge to find classrooms and offices. You'll find maps and directions to all our campuses. And we have a free smart phone app, titled Cuesta College, for iPhones and Android handsets that’ll guide you around Cuesta's facilities. No car? No problem: The Regional Transit Authority has bus routes that will take you to all Cuesta facilities from virtually anywhere in the county. Discounted 31-day bus passes are available for sale at the Cashiers Office.

Parking

You will need to purchase a parking permit to park anywhere on campus. You'll need to know your student ID number and your vehicle's license number to buy a permit from Public Safety. Campus police do not enforce the permit requirement until the second week of classes to give you time to get one.

A little help

Cuesta's Tutorial Center offers free assistance if you need help with a class. And our counseling department and Transfer/Career Counseling Center can help you make a smooth transition to a four-year school. They can also assist you with exploring career possibilities.

To your health

Health centers serve as primary care clinics on both the SLO and Paso Robles campuses to help you achieve and maintain optimum physical, mental and emotional health. There is no charge to use the health centers for registered students.

myCuesta is your friend

Our website offers general information, but for more specific communications, you'll use your myCuesta account. It'll be your primary source for college services and information. Through this portal, you can check email, register for classes, access Moodle, view your student records and more. Your instructors communicate with you through myCuesta.

Your social life

Associated Students of Cuesta College operates the Social Club, which is a great place to hang out between classes, study, play video games and meet new friends. ASCC is the parent organization, run by students, that oversees a wide range of campus clubs — from  sports and leisure to academics and environment — filled with entertaining activities and events.

Home and work

Cuesta doesn't provide on-campus housing for students. But there are many nearby options. ASCC offers free online listings for housing and roommates, and a host of other online resources. Career Connections, located in the Student Center complex on the SLO campus, prides itself on connecting students with employers. You may also find job leads through the Cuesta Jobs Link.
