Cuesta College has partnered with Higher One, a financial services company, to provide students with three different options to receive financial aid and dropped class refunds.

Students will automatically receive a Higher One My Cuesta Card in the mail upon registration into classes. The first time a student completes a registration transaction, the My Cuesta Card mailing process is started. The My Cuesta Card is mailed by Higher One to the mailing address listed on the student's Cuesta records at the time of registration. It will arrive in a bright green envelope and will include all of the information necessary to log onto the Higher One website and select a refund preference. Students should allow 14 business days from the date of their first registration transaction for delivery of their My Cuesta Card.

For timely delivery of the My Cuesta Card, students should verify their mailing address is current using their myCuesta portal and the My Web Services link found through the Student tab. My Cuesta Cards will not be forwarded if the address on record is not current. Students may update their address by following the Updating Your Address in myCuesta instructions. If the card is not received in the time frame described, students may submit a My Cuesta Card Reorder Form.

Students should activate their My Cuesta Card as soon as they receive it whether they are expecting a refund from Cuesta or not as any future refunds will by processed through the My Cuesta Card preference activation. Students should carefully read the My Cuesta Card information provided in order to choose the best payment option. View the My Cuesta Card/Higher One Fee Schedules for more information.

After activating your My Cuesta Card, keep it in a secure place. A Higher One replacement fee is charged for cards lost or misplaced after activation. Please contact Higher One regarding replacement of activated My Cuesta Cards.

*Please note - Registration fees for dropped classes are not automatically refunded. See Dropping Courses for more information.
