CalWORKs is a program designed to assist welfare recipient students in transitioning off welfare and to achieve long-term self-sufficiency through coordinated student services including academic counseling, career counseling, work study and job placement, education on rights and responsibilities, and advocacy.

The CalWORKs office is currently taking applications for the California Community Colleges Portraits of Success Scholarship & Publication.  We welcome all entries no later than February 15th, 2014.
