Hi! My name is Julianne Jackson. I am the EOPS/CARE Coordinator. I have had the pleasure of working at the Cuesta College EOPS/CARE office since August of 1990. I received my A.A. Degree from Cuesta College, my B.S. in Organizational Management from the University of LaVerne, and my M.A. in Education with a specialization in counseling and guidance, from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Janet Florez; EOPS Counselor Janet Florez, EOPS/CARE SLO Counselor

 I have been a Cuesta counselor since 1994. I moved here from Shafter, a small town near Bakersfield College where I was also an EOPS counselor and instructor before moving to the Central Coast. My past work experience includes having been a MFCC therapist at a domestic violence agency, founder, director, and counselor of alcoholism treatment centers, a high school teacher, health educator for two rural health clinics and coordinator of social services and outreach at an inter city program in San Diego. I bring with me a wealth of varied experience.

Helping you find solutions to your problems is what I enjoy best. In my spare time I get involved in cultural events and enjoy spending time with my family and close friends. I love working in the garden, watching movies, and kicking back.

Gabriela LopezGabriela "Gaby" Lopez, EOPS/CARE NCC Counselor

The granddaughter of migrant farm workers, Gabriela Lopez was raised in the Salinas Valley of California. She attended the University of Southern California where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English & her Master’s degree in Counseling. Gabriela has committed her life to education, and enriching her community with the arts and culture.  She enjoys serving as co-advisor to the Latino Leadership Network student club. After having served as Student Services Specialist at Cuesta College, Gabriela recently transitioned to a new position as an academic counselor for EOPS program at the North County Campus. She enjoys working with community college students to help them find success in college and life.  In her free time, Gabriela enjoys being a Tia to her favorite nephew, Ryan, and loves all things Día de Los Muertos.

Hi, I am Diane "Dee" Limon, the EOPS Recruitment/Retention Specialist. I have been working with the EOPS program since February 1993 and have enjoyed every moment working with both EOPS staff and students. I was raised in Santa Margarita. I started my education at Cuesta College in 1991 thru the help of the EOPS & CARE programs and graduated in 1997 with an AS in General Education. In 2009, I graduated from Cal Poly with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. As the first to graduate from college in my family, I am familiar with some of the challenges ans struggles students face today. I enjoy motivating an encouraging students to follow their dreams by teaching them the skills necessary to assist in reaching their goals.

April has been working for the EOPS/CARE program since 2004. She enjoys working with and helping students here at Cuesta. She received her AA Degree  from Cuesta in 2006, and received her BS in Psychology from Cal Poly in 2009.
