SAN LUIS OBISPO – The San Luis Obispo County Community College District has released the 2024 Annual Report from the Measure L Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC), affirming the District’s continued transparency, fiscal responsibility, and progress on facilities improvement funded by voter-approved Measure L.

The report provides an overview of expenditures, project updates, and audit results related to the third issuance of Measure L Bond funds. These funds have supported capital projects and modernizations on both the San Luis Obispo and North County campuses, including classroom renovations, HVAC and roofing upgrades, and audiovisual and technology improvements across more than 60 instructional spaces.

“The Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee is proud to report that Measure L funds have been spent in full accordance with the law and with voters’ intent,” said Dr. Gilbert H. Stork, Chair of the CBOC. “The clean audit results reflect the District’s strong financial stewardship, and the visible impact of these projects across both campuses Cuesta’s deep commitment to students and the community.”

The report also highlights progress on major projects underway, including the construction of the new Campus Center at the San Luis Obispo campus. This flagship facility will be a welcoming hub for student services, administrative offices, and community engagement. In North County, construction has begun on a new instructional building featuring innovative spaces to support hands-on career education.

“Measure L has empowered us to deliver on our promise to create a safe, modern, and student-focused learning environment,” said Dr. Jill Stearns, Cuesta College Superintendent / President. “We are grateful for the continued support of San Luis Obispo County voters and proud to demonstrate how every dollar is being used to enhance student success.”
