* Completion of higher level college courses, i.e. BIO 205 (Human Anatomy), BIO 206

"C" or better are accepted.
For courses not taken at Cuesta College, contact Counseling to find out if you need to submit a Pre-LVN Course Equivalency form and documentation.
Course completion vs. Assessment: Applicants to the LVN certificate program must either complete the above Math and English prereq courses (or higher level courses) with a grade of "C" or better; OR place into English 201A and a transfer level math course.
CNA Work Experience Incentive: CNA work experience is not mandatory in order to be eligible to apply to the LVN program. However, applicants who have worked a minimum of 500 hours in the past 2 years as a CNA and who meet the application requirements will be eligible to have their name entered an extra time in the computerized random draw.
ADDITIONAL LVN PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Proof of completion of 12th grade education (or higher degree)
- Current California CNA certificate (or verification of state certification)
