Choosing a College and a Major
AGES: 13 - 19 years
Perfect for teens and parents to expose them to what they may not know exists when it comes to choosing a college and a major. Students will learn to work backwards as they think about where want to work in the future and look at college majors as a tool to get there. This workshop is a very different approach that looks at what universities are funded to research, what industries sponsor or partner with their college programs, and what opportunities exist locally for students to "practice" their major during their education. Families will leave excited to look at college applications in a whole new way and help their student find a fit that best suits all their interests.
