Adapted Fitness is designed to accommodate individuals with permanent or temporary disabilities. The focus is empowering participants to stay healthy and active. We will create individualized goals and track progress by completing pre- and post-class assessments. Each class will include exercises to improve cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility.
About the Instructor: Sarah Hawkins has worked with athletes with disabilities for 26 years. In addition to a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, she has also been certified as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, master water fitness instructor, and adapted aquatics instructor trainer.
