Triathlon 101
Triathlon has come to Cuesta! Come out this summer and join our training group as we prepare for a first race OR just for fun and to learn the sport! Designed for newcomers to triathlon, but also for those wanting to make improvements. Using a local summer triathlon as a model event, we will hone our triathlon-specific swim, cycle, and running segments to maximize your goals. Learn tips, techniques, training patterns, nutrition, hydration, gear, prep, and more! Achieve timeless transitions! Spend 6 weeks getting in your best shape. *Must be able to swim any stroke 50 meters to start the class and be able to ride a bike.
FIRST CLASS SESSION will meet at the Pool. 1. Bring all gear 2. Be prepared to swim. 3. Please be punctual! Schedule will be given out which will cover where to meet on the remainder of the dates.
Class Supply List:
- Required: Backpack for all gear. Swim cap/goggles/suit, 1 towel for the ground, 1 towel for you, bike in working order, helmet, sunglasses, run shoes. Water bottle.
- Optional: triathlon-specific suit, cycling shoes. Always have a warm sweatshirt on hand.
More light gear and incidentals will be discussed during class sessions.
