Historic European Martial Arts: An Overview: This workshop will provide attendees with hands-on demonstrations of sword, dagger, and unarmed fighting methods from the medieval period of Europe. Additionally, the history of European Martial arts and how HEMA has worked on bringing history back into the modern age will be presented. Bring a sack lunch or snack. | |

Longsword: Learn why the medieval longsword was the most perfect weapon system. Starting with basic body mechanics, attendees will learn not only how to cut and defend, but also how to grapple with a sword. Bring a sack lunch or snack. | |

This workshop will cover the history and use of these versatile pair of tools that shaped the pre-American colonies. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a belt for holding the tomahawk and knife.
