Kids in Business
In this class, we will examine the steps involved with turning an idea into a business. Scholars will go through the process of identifying a passion or hobby that can provide a service. We will discuss what it takes to research and develop a product, manufacture, market, and sell your product or service. We will explore the nuts and bolts of starting a business, developing a business plan, creating business cards and advertisements, do market research, ways in which to obtain funding and agencies businesses interact with to become a legit entity. Students will be able to interact and share their ideas and virtual businesses with classmates via Zoom meetings and Breakout Rooms.
