2D Computer Animation
Students will learn the basic principles of 2D computer animation and the application of those principles in bringing a character to life through the mechanics of motion. They will learn how to plan out character designs, design colorful backgrounds, create a walking animation(s) with the help of movement guides, adding titles and sounds, and then exporting their animations into the Html5 format to watch on computers and mobile devices. They will also experiment with Rotoscoping animation as well.
Please install Zoom on the same device as the art software being used. That way the instructor will be able to see what the student is doing and be able to help the student if he or she is having any difficulties. If Photoshop isn’t an option for you, here is a link to other possibilities. A Photoshop alternative that I would recommend is called Photopea, which in online-based, and can be found here.
