Track and Field
This class is a detailed introduction to the sport of track and field, and perfect
for anyone interested in developing their speed, agility, coordination and/or endurance.
All the events of track and field will be covered (sprints, distance, jumps, throws,
hurdles), as well as valuable content related to being a sprint or endurance athlete. Sessions will be a mixture of live Zoom training sessions and content posted to Google Classroom for on your own work. Together we will learn and participate in new mobility, stability and strength work, and sport specific drills. Students will also be given a “Workout of the Day” to be completed on their own after each meeting.

INSTRUCTOR: Antonia Amaral - Since returning home in 2013, I have dedicated my time to coaching developing athletes of all ages. I am currently the sprints coach for Cuesta College and SLO Town Track Club. In addition I have a teaching Credential P.E., M. Ed., and am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
