Persuasive Writing Workshop
The central goal of this workshop is to help students develop a persuasive opinion writing piece. The workshop will be student-centered as participants choose to write about something they find meaningful. The lessons will include instruction regarding persuasive writing and making evidence-based claims along with time for independent writing. Students will conduct their own research on their topic and evaluate sources for credibility when choosing evidence to support their opinion. Students will have support throughout the writing process along with the opportunity to share their final piece with the class.
