This virtual exhibition, Love in the Time of Covid (named after the beloved book by Gabrial Garcia Marquez, Love in the Time of Cholera) will be hosted by the Harold J Miossi Art Gallery at Cuesta College in the summer of 2020. The open call will extend until July 1, and the exhibition will go live on July 10. The hope is that this exhibition will turn into a beautiful and local documentation of our Spring 2020 experiences. I will be writing an essay to accompany this virtual exhibition.

The participating guidelines are simple:
1 - Submit a photo, at least 1600 x 1400 pixels, in color. This can be a professional or formal photograph or just an iPhone photograph. This photo should document a moment of love, of human connection, of community, that took place between March 1st and the date of your submission. Feel free to take a broad approach to this prompt and interpret it how you see fit.
2 - Submit up to two sentences, in whatever format you wish, of a statement addressing what you chose to document or a poetic interpretation/textual accompaniment to the image.
3 - ALL are invited to submit, whether or not you have a committed art or creative practice.
4 - Please share far and wide! Submissions are limited to those who live in San Luis Obispo County, but all who submit will be included.
