Vaccine Requirement
Effective Oct. 15, all students, employees, and visitors who access Cuesta College campuses and facilities must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test.
Resolution 09-21 approved by the San Luis Obispo County Community College District Board of Trustees established a vaccine requirement for Cuesta College. Students and employees on campus must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or undergo weekly testing. Visitors must provide proof of vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours of the campus visit.
When asked, students, employees, and visitors should be prepared to present their vaccination card or negative test results (with valid photo ID), or a digital access pass through Cleared4 Cuesta. To get an access pass, you will need to locate a personal link:
- If you're a student or an employee, you may access your personal link by using the message that was sent to you either by email or by text message, or by logging into myCuesta and clicking on the Cleared4 icon.
- If you are a visitor or do not have a myCuesta account, please access Cleared4 using this link.
Current health and safety protocols under Cuesta College's COVID-19 Protocols remain in place for anyone accessing Cuesta College campuses and facilities. Following CDC guidelines, proper face coverings are required in all indoor public areas and shared spaces for everyone, regardless of vaccination status.

It depends on the timing. If you had a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 90 days, you do not need to be tested when you show proof of a positive test result, unless you develop new symptoms. If you recovered more than 90 days ago, you are required to test unless you have since become fully vaccinated.
You will either need to show your vaccine card, digital vaccine record, proof of negative test results along with a valid photo ID - or a digital access pass. Cleared4 provides an access pass that can be viewed on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop. There is no indication on the Cleared4 pass whether the individual is vaccinated or cleared through testing.
