The fringe contribution is a District provided amount designed to offset the cost of health and welfare benefits for each qualified employee and their eligible dependents. Please see the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for more information on this contribution.
You are eligible to opt-out of the medical plan if you have proof of other coverage. If you chose to opt-out you will receive a lower amount in fringe that you can use towards dental, vision, MetLife life or AD&D coverage, investments or American Fidelity Plans (such as disability, cancer, life, flexible spending accounts, etc.).
