Food Resources

Cuesta Essentials 

Cuesta Essentials connects students with free groceries, nutritious food, gently used clothing, personal hygiene products, and CalFresh application assistance. By helping reduce barriers to success, we provide access to essential resources that enable students to stay focused on learning, persist through their academic journey, and achieve their educational goals.

Food Pantry 

Free groceries and nutritious food to help you stay healthy, focused, and ready to succeed. 

Food Pantry Guidelines: 

  • Must be actively enrolled in the current semester
  • Students must sign in and check out with their student ID number
  • Students are welcome to visit the pantry twice a week
  • Designated times for classified staff
  • Location and Hours

SLO Campus room 5104A in the cafeteria- 9AM-4:30PM Mon-Fri

North County Campus room N1005- 9AM-5PM Mon-Fri

SLO County Food Bank
The SLO County Food Bank hosts regular distributions at Cuesta! Students and community members are welcome to walk or drive up and will receive assistance from SLO Food Bank volunteers. Click here for more information on these distributions.

CalFresh 
Ask a team member about CalFresh! 
Many Cuesta College students may qualify for CalFresh, including students who receive Medi-Cal through CenCal Health. Connect with a Basic Needs Coordinator to learn more, explore your eligibility, and receive assistance with the application process. Click here for more information on CalFresh. 

Clothing Closet 

Find free, gently used clothing to help you feel confident, comfortable, and prepared for every step of your college journey. 

Clothing Closet Guidelines:

  • Must be actively enrolled in the current semester
  • Students must sign in and check out with their student ID number
  • Students are welcome to visit the clothes closet once per week

Personal Hygiene Products 

Access free personal hygiene products to help you feel confident, prepared, and ready to succeed. 

Personal care is an important part of student well-being and success. Cuesta Essentials provides students with free personal hygiene products, including items such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and other daily essentials. All located in the Basic Needs Center.
