The Cuesta College Central Coast Writers’ Conference (CCWC) has been helping new and established writers fulfill their dreams since 1984. This year’s event will be held on Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26, 2026.
Now in its 42nd year, CCWC was named “Best Writers Conference in the West” by Writing Life Magazine and is the premier event for creatives in San Luis Obispo County. As one of the longest continuous writers’ events in the country, CCWC is well-known for inspiring all aspects in the life of writers, both locally and those visiting from out of the area.
Our CCWC staff and volunteers are planning a variety of workshops for beginning and more advanced writers featuring experts in various genres including published authors, screenwriters, editors, agents, and publishers. This two-day event includes a special Teen Program, and is packed with networking opportunities and sessions in the areas of Memoir, Screenwriting, Publishing, Children’s Books, Poetry, Marketing, and more.
