Hands-on workshop where participants learn how to submit their writing to literary journals and magazines. The instructor will guide participants through platforms like Submittable and other submission sites, showing where and how to send their work. Writers will explore appropriate opportunities, prepare a piece, and—if they’re ready—complete at least one live submission during the session. The focus is on action, helping participants move from writing to sharing their work with the world.

Juan Luzuriaga |
Juan Luzuriaga was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and immigrated to the United States at sixteen. He studied Neuroscience at Rutgers University and Literature at UC Merced, and now teaches poetry in prisons, including California Men’s Colony, as well as at Cuesta College. He is the author of Cotopaxi Whispers (Blue Light Press), with work published in Acentos Review, San Diego Poetry Annual, Monterey Poetry Review, Cholla Needles. He has been featured at UC Merced, Fresno State University, the Cuesta College Central Coast Writers’ Conference, the San Francisco Writers Conference, MoSt Festival, and other literary gatherings. |
