About Us
At the Student Health Center, we promote health and well-being as an essential part of every student’s lifestyle. Our team supports students in developing the knowledge and skills needed to make healthy, informed choices throughout their lives.

Our services
We support students in their academic success and personal development. Our therapy services are personalized and confidential.
Services include:
• Individual therapy
• Group therapy
• Crisis prevention and intervention
• Education and outreach
• Referrals for long-term care

Medical Consultation for:
• Assessment
• Examination
• Acute illness and minor uncomplicated medical problems
• Free/reduced cost medication, antibiotic prescriptions and home-care instructions
• First aid & free over-the-counter medications
• Health screenings: Blood pressure, TB testing, body composition, cholesterol and
glucose levels
• Vaccination clinics (Held during Fall semester)

Students are welcome to meet with a peer educator to learn about:
• Nutrition
• Personalized diet analysis
• Setting positive lifestyle and nutritional goals such as nutrition for athletics,
fitness, weight changes, or just to get a few ideas for SMART goal changes
• Social media/digital strategies
• Campaigns/exhibits
• Events/contests
• Interactive and educational games
• Workshops
• Informational material/tips
Cuesta Students!
Our professional team includes medical and mental health staff, such as a physician assistant, registered nurses, therapists, a health/wellness promoter, and caring support staff.
Our health services are dedicated to providing equitable, inclusive, and affirming care for all students, including those from LGBTQ+, BIPOC, first-generation, and other communities.
Health services are available on both the San Luis Obispo and North County campuses. For services not offered at the North County Center, students can visit the San Luis Obispo Health Center.
