Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery, and take part in a dynamic artist panel from 6-7 p.m. The event is free and open to everyone. Don’t miss the opportunity to engage with the artists and explore the exhibition firsthand.
Co-curated by artist Connie Martin Treviño, Not Enough Future unites new works in ceramics, drawing, and painting that address the uncertainty of our era. Each artist uses personal experiences and global context to examine the tension between anxiety and possibility, inviting viewers to consider ambiguity as both urgent and introspective.
“While some pieces offer a sense of meditation like a repeated mantra, others offer the freedom of spontaneity and chance, allowing these new works to float in between spaces of abstraction, vibrating colors, psychedelic patterns, mind escapes, and waves of futurism,” said Martin Treviño.
The exhibition’s artists draw on diverse perspectives and media to examine how the present shapes our imagination of what lies ahead. Together, their works form a visual dialogue that questions how we navigate a world where the future often feels elusive.
