Cuesta College Emergency Notification Alerts
During an emergency it's important to receive critical emergency information to stay informed. Cuesta College uses the myAlert!/RAVE notification system and the Cuesta Alert app to send emergency notifications to our students, staff and community members. Typical alerts sent out on these systems include campus power outages, evacuation orders, emergency campus closures, emergency instructions, and other similar instructions.
Cuesta College student and staff email addresses are automatically enrolled in the myAlert! system. We highly encourage students and staff to register their cell phone number(s), personal email address, and/or Voice Line Only to receive emergency alerts via text message on your phone, an alternate email, and/or as a phone call. See instructions below to sign-up.

Here's how:
Anyone can sign up for text alert emergency notifications by following the instructions below.
Text "CougarAlert" to 78015 or 77295.
You will receive a text message back saying "Welcome to CougarAlert. Reply LEAVE CougarAlert
to Leave list, STOP to Stop all Msgs, HELP for Help...You are now part of the emergency
notification system for Cuesta College. Call Cuesta PD at 805-546-3205 with any questions
or concerns."
Students and Staff - Sign up to receive notifications via Text Messages, a personal
email address, or a phone call.
Here's how:
Step 1: Click on the button below to be directed to www.getrave.com to sign up.
Step 2: Enter Cuesta College in the site name box. Select Register to sign up. 
Step 3: Add Mobile Phone, Voice Line Only, or a personal Email address.
Cuesta Alert App
We are pleased to introduce Cuesta Alert, a new campus safety and crisis communication app that provides real-time emergency alerts and important updates to help keep you informed and safe. It is now available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Cuesta Alert offers an additional, faster emergency communication tool that provides real-time alerts, safety updates, and notifications during critical situations. In addition to instant push notifications, users can easily report concerns and access safety resources directly from your mobile device.
Please note that this app does not replace the myAlert!/RAVE emergency alert system. You will still receive emergency notifications via text through myAlert!/RAVE as you always have.
