Masks & Cultures is a class that invites participants to explore the art and meaning of masks across different traditions. We’ll look at how masks have been used in ceremonies, storytelling, and celebrations around the world. Each session will include discussion, examples, and hands-on activities to spark creativity. Participants will also design and make their own masks, using art as a way to connect with culture and imagination. The class is welcoming to all skill levels and focuses on curiosity, expression, and shared experience.

I am an artist and educator with experience in exploring traditions through visual art and performance. My work often connects culture, storytelling, and creativity, and masks are a powerful way to bring these elements together. In this class, I guide participants in learning about the role of masks in different cultures while also creating their own as a form of expression
