Now that you've learned to thread your machine, sew seams, and make a hem we’ll continue to build on those skills while making two bags, one with a zipper. You will leave class with two completed projects made by your hands. Please bring your sewing machine in working order or let Community Programs know you need to borrow a machine. All other class supplies provided by the instructor. Contact the instructor if you have questions. Prerequisite: Sewing Basics or equivalent skills.

Hello, I'm Rebecca, most of my free time as a child was spent sewing clothes for myself and others. I challenged myself with new fabrics and techniques, eventually altering patterns to better fit my body. Working in the field of alterations and dressmaking has taught me much and after discovering the joys of teaching in 1998, it would be my pleasure to teach you to make lovely things with needle and thread. |
